Fall Wedding at the Pelican Isle Yacht Club
When a wonderful friend and vendor reached out to me for Wedding Day Management at Pelican Isle Yacht Club, I immediately said Yes! I had planned a wedding there years before and heard that the venue had been renovated. When I attended my first meeting with the wedding couple, I knew I was in for a fun wedding! They graciously invited me to the wine tasting after the meeting and I couldn’t resist. What a fun way to meet my couple!
Details
Their love for each other really shines through with sweet touches and loving glances that I saw during our meetings. Shortly after meeting Morgan and Mike, I realized how laid back and relaxed they were. They shared their love of hockey and Jameson and gifted a small bottle to each guest as their wedding favor.
Okay, so on to the fun detailsof the wedding itself! We chose a Fall palette of purples with a touch of fuchsia and a sparkle of silver and gray. I suggested a micro gloss silver sequin for the sweetheart table to show off the gorgeous Autumnal centerpiece created by Michael at Naples Floral Design. With the guest tables, we opted for a warm plum linen with silver napkins for some elegance. Not wanting to be too formal, the couple chose to forgo chargers and opted for a simple napkin fold.
Ceremony at Shangri La Springs
The ceremony took place at the beautiful Shangri La Springs in Bonita Springs, Florida. One of the oldest Fig Trees in southwest Florida provided the perfect backdrop for the ceremony on the lawn. Friends and family gathered for the union of Morgan and Mike, celebrated by the one and only Rabbi Michael Raab. Even though the couple is not Jewish, they chose Rabbi Raab to officiate their wedding. He had officiated the Matron of Honor's wedding, Morgan's sister Sarah, and came highly recommended.
After arriving at Pelican Isle Yacht Club, guests enjoyed a relaxing Cocktail Hour on the outdoor deck overlooking the water. DJ Rifik kept them entertained throughout the evening. Guests were then invited inside for the wedding party introductions and the couple’s first dance as husband and wife. I’m not sure there was a dry eye in the house!
A delicious buffet style dinner was served while the Matron of Honor and the Best Man toasted the newlyweds. Again, with not wanting to be too formal or adhering too much to wedding traditions, the couple cut their cake beautifully designed by Lexie at Sweetified, then danced the night away surrounded by friends and family.
