It seems that couples are moving away from having a wedding cake to serve to all guests. Instead, to keep with tradition, they are choosing to have a small two layer cake to cut, keeping the top layer for their one year anniversary and small desserts for guests.
Mini desserts are most definitely taking over the wedding scene. Increasingly, guests prefer to grab a treat on their way to the dance floor or to eat at their convenience throughout the evening instead of having to sit and eat cake right after dinner.
Donuts, cookies, brownies, and mini cupcakes are a hit with guests as they are typically bite-sized and delicious.
